Dua
Dua Lipa, aka Dua English musician and singer who was born on the 22nd of August 1995 in London United Kingdom. Her self-titled debut was released in 2017, after she joined Warner Bros Records. The album reached third place at the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles which included Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one song New Rules which peaked at 6th on the charts in the United States. Lipa's album, which has since been recognized as Platinum in several nations around the globe, won her two Brit Awards (in the year 2018) for British female single artist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. By way of her maternal grandmother, Dua Lipa is Bosnian. She can trace her ancestry back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. There are two sisters, Rina as well as Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play guitar and sing from her dad Oda. Oda is the leader singer/guitarist for Kosovan's band Oda. While at home with her parents, her father would perform his original compositions, along with songs of David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. She attended the Sylvia Young Theater School was the first place she began to sing as she was nine years old. Her first single was released New Love in August of 2015.
