Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The initial inspiration came from shadows cast on grass. After a few weeks she came up with a technique that did not render the chosen object on the canvas as an unflat image. It is more like the object has been transformed into it's own representation with the canvas taking on the artist's interpretation. This is especially effective when working with living things as well as items that have a shelf life such as fruits or people. Alexa Meade's paintings are ephemeral however the photograph is what is left. As the photographic and painting techniques are coordinated so closely, the end result is the trompe-l'oeil effect where the illusion of three dimensions is only visible at certain places, for example the area around the eyes or hair. Meade has integrated her model paintings into the 3-dimensional space around them. Their interaction and this created world is possible. Thus, the boundary between photography and painting is dissolved.
